一、按灭弧介质的不同分类： 1. According to the different classification of the arcing medium: 　　(1)、油断路器：指触头在变压器油（断路器油）中开断，利用变压器油（断路器油）作为灭弧介质的断路器。 (1) oil circuit breaker: the contact is broken in the transformer oil (circuit breaker oil), and USES transformer oil (circuit breaker oil) as the breaker of the arc medium. 　　(2)、压缩空气断路器：以压缩空气作为灭弧介质和绝缘介质的断路器，弧所用的空气压力一般在1013～4052kPa (10～40atm)的范围内。 (2) compressed air circuit breaker: the air pressure used to compress air as a circuit breaker of arc medium and insulating medium is generally within the range of 1013 ~ 4052kPa (10 ~ 40 atmospheres). 　　(3)、SF6断路器：以SF6气体作为灭弧介质，或兼作绝缘介质的断路器。 (3) SF6 circuit breaker: a circuit breaker with SF6 gas as an arc suppressing medium or an insulating medium. 　　(4)、真空断路器：指触头在真空中开断，利用真空作为绝缘介质和灭弧介质的断路器，真空断路器需求的真空度在10-4 Pa以上。 (4) vacuum circuit breaker: the contact is broken in a vacuum, the vacuum circuit breaker is used as a circuit breaker for insulating medium and an arc quenching medium, and the vacuum breaker demand is above 10-4 Pa. 　　另外还有磁吹断路器、固体产气断路器等类型。 There are also magnetic circuit breakers, solid gas circuit breakers and so on. 二、按装设地点的不同分类： Ii. According to the overall structure of the circuit breaker and its insulation of the ground according to different classification: 　　(1)、绝缘子支持型（又称绝缘子支柱式、支柱式）。这一类型断路器的结构特点是安置触头和灭弧室的容器（可以是金属筒也可以是绝缘筒）处于高电位，靠支持绝缘子对地绝缘，它可以用串联若干个开断元件和加高对地绝缘的方法组成更高电压等级的断路器。 (1) insulator support type (also known as insulator pillar type, pillar type).
